The Rarest Eclipse of Our Lifetime
On August 12, 2026, Mallorca lies directly in the path of a total solar eclipse — and it happens at sunset. At 20:28 local time, the moon will completely obscure the sun just two minutes before it touches the Mediterranean horizon, revealing the solar corona against a twilight sky. The last total eclipse visible from Mallorca was in 1905. The next won't occur until 2187. This is, quite literally, the astronomical event of our lifetime.

Why Watch from a Yacht?
On land, you're competing with an estimated 200,000 visitors for a westward view. From a yacht anchored off Sant Elm or Dragonera Island — approximately 18 nm from Palma — you have the entire western horizon to yourself. No buildings, no crowds, no light pollution. Just the open Mediterranean, a champagne glass, and the most dramatic sunset you will ever witness.
Our captains have already studied the eclipse geometry and will position your yacht at the optimal coordinates where totality lasts longest and the sun meets the horizon at the perfect angle. If clouds threaten from the west, they can reposition in real time — something impossible on land. This is why a yacht is the only serious way to experience this eclipse.
- Unobstructed 360° horizon views
- Optimal positioning by experienced captains
- No crowds or light pollution
- Champagne toast during totality
- Gourmet sunset dinner onboard
